Man U Menang

Over the past weekend, Man U played Malaysia at Bukit Jalil Stadium as part of their Man U Asia Tour. IPC Travel & Tours was offering this 2D1N package and the chance of watching Man U live again was just too good to be missed, so we made the short trip up to KL. We referring to me, Nazir, Fahmy and his two brothers.

Meeting time was 615am at Newton Hawker Food Centre Carpark. So who do you call when you need transport at such ungodly hour? Kau members la Nas seriously. Dinner treat still on me.

So this was our bus. They named all the buses after Man U players to get us into the mood all. Our bus ROONEY was full of energy througout with occasional moments of magic on the road. PARK never once stopped on the North-South Highway while BERBATOV took his own time but still managed to bamboozle through traffic.

We went straight to the stadium and I knew I was at the right place when I saw this car.
Bukit Jalil Stadium actually looked like National Stadium from the outside.
This was the crowd that was already waiting to enter the gates when we arrived. It was only 2pm. Match kickoff was at 530pm. Talk about die-hard.

If you're ever in need for attention, then learn from this guy. Simply wear a rival club jersey and you'll get all kinds of jeers and insults hurled at you. This was just the first of many.

You cannot see it but we were slowly getting baked inside. We had to wait for 3 hours under the scorching sun.
Nobody knew who they were but the crowd just cheered for them. It turned out to be Man U coaches. We were restless so we just wanted some entertainment

These are the people that all tak pernah mati. Who wears a Man City or Pool shirt to a Man U exhibition? Seriously nak kena tumbuk.

If my arm was long enough, I would tumbuk this guy also. O Shea fan? Seriously?

The pitch had these water sprinklers that were hidden underneath the pitch. Very fancy ah if you ask me.
At long last, the sight of a Man U player. First on the pitch was Ben Foster, warming up with the goalkeeping coach. Van der Sar came soon afterwards and the crowd went wild.
The moment we were waiting for. Ferdinand finally led the team out of the tunnel to a thunderous applause. Seeing all the players live was damn surreal. I kept saying to myself, "That is Scholes right in front of me. SCHOLES. SCHOLES."

It was a full house and the atmosphere was awesome. I think there were almost 100000 specatators in the stadium. By far the largest crowd I've been in.
Watching them play live certainly has upped my appreciation for all the players. As good as they all are, some of them really stood out. Berbatov has to be the coolest player alive. He plays in his own world, looks as lazy as he looks on TV but his touches are just sublime. Giggs is still a class act. He was so comfortable on the ball and at his age, his pace and acceleration must be understated. Rooney was THE crowd favourite. I was directly behind the play for Man U's second goal and I didnt even see the run made by Nani. So talk about vision.

And Gary Neville, oh poor Gary. He certainly surpassed all my expectations of a blooming idiot. I am not exaggerating. His runs and movements are so so clumsy. He was the only substitute not to be used during a match so to compensate for it, he was doing sprints across the length of the pitch even after the team had left. Poor Giggs members nye pasal together with a coach had to accompany him. Even when we left, he was still running and didnt look like he was going to stop anytime soon. Suspect kuat he's going to retire and go run marathons. Im so proud of this Man U captain.

Members but ya

I wanted to write a long post but I am seriously damn lazy now. Important stuff first, this is the new AFL site, www.footballopod.com/leagues/afl. I haven't done the admin stuff yet cos, I want to say I'm busy but I'm just lazy but ya. We still haven't settled last season's finances and thats my fault also. Basically I'm a useless idiot la ok. So ya.

So now, this is where I make noise. Seriously la, not that I want to say la, but some people are just merepek la ok. To all you people, ISAP BODOH. Pah buto. Matrep pun kalah seh. Seriously la.

That won't help matters la cos maybe they don't know who they are but still, isap la ok. Anyways, back to being placid or as close to that as possible, I wanna say sorry to Zat for flooding the toilet all. But still, I let you enroach on my space all in the bus. So even stevens tan.

Also, wanna post a shout out to my member Nas, my dear 17th Convention partner. Kau la members. Who else will wake up at 5.17 am to send me(Zat just happened to be going with me) to Newton so that I won't have to take a cab. Seriously, members seh. Whatever you want, just say la Nas. I'll try my best to make it happen. I'll even push someone to oncoming buses la but ya. I should have done that ah.

The next shout out goes to my other friend, close to my heart (and sometimes nerves), forever and ever, Team Indonesia partner, MUSTAKJM VAN HAASNJE! I have to thank you for knocking some sense into me. As in really. I don't know what I was thinking also. The song also helped some bit. But ya. So remember, if you need someone to walk to town again or go to Tanah Merah for no apparent reason, I won'ts be there ah. Won'ts wont's.

To my B.O.B.P member Suff, I just have to say a huge thankkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk you for all that you have done. But ya. Without you, I won't be but ya-ing and tulising and satay-ing and stuff. Actually you put an end to my satay-ing days so ya la (Not that I had any). I am so thankful I might even let someone hug me. Maybe even get a kiss from me. Isap bodoh. So ya. 12 years and counting.

My dear captain Jon, although I still don't understand why you are the captain, but I have to say you are a true blue member. Busy all but can still make time for us. You are the reason why I am still with TL and not with the one true club I want to be with, TKFC. Viva la Captain!

March babies all rock la Zal, and you are clearly the exception. But sometimes, you do stuff which makes me believe that you do have the qualities to do us March babies proud. Ok, maybe I am the exception, cos you are the one who usually plan stuff and all while I just sit idle and watch. But ya. Hopefully some of your traits have rubbed off on me ah. Some ah, not all.

Finally finally back to Zat. I just have to say thank you la. Although it might not seem significant and all to you, but your answers to my bothersome questions actually did me a whole lot of good. You layan-ed my merepekness and my night mood all, so ya, thanks. And maybe just to tell you, I care about the makan place la ok. Your makan place is my makan place. If that makes any sense to you, good. If not, kau pergi kedai Rajagopal and order teh sua.

So much for me not wanting to write a long entry ah. I seriously did not plan this. Ah that goes for some other stuff too. So ya but ya.

I really really <3 June/July

Suff that was a fantastic birthday present but ya. As in really really really really fantastic. The days leading up to my/our birthdays are really getting better! Imagine what I'm gonna get on the day itself! M, L, then now this. But on the other hand, it's damn poor thing. But what to do. I shall have a minute of silence to acknowledge the gravity of the situaition... And ten minutes of personal "silence" afterwards.

Anyways I suggest we do some paintball battle next week. Fifty bucks per person for 250 pellets at Khatib near the swamps. Bring your satays/scandals. At the rate things are going, it'll be a ball of a time.
