Before I write about the KL trip, there are some things that I want you guys to ponder on. Consider it a cognitive warm-up before you read about KL. Firstly, I want you to watch two videos whose endless depths of meaning can inspire humanity to far loftier heights...
Secondly, I shall give you an English language puzzle. Okay the following words can form a sentence, but they lack proper punctuation. Add the proper punctuation, and form a proper sentence WITHOUT rearranging the sequence of the words...
James while John had had had had had had had had had had had a better effect on the teacher.
I'll buy lunch for whoever gets this right. And don't worry, I did not repeat "had" too many times.
That's all I have to put up here, I shall blog about the KL trip besok. As in really. Besok.

KL, here we come.
As you all know, things only look good on paper. And on TOWNS paper, it does not even look half as good. So upon our impending trip to KL, I expect a lot of kecoh things to happen. Expect the unexpected. And like they always say, what happens in KL happened in KL.
- Sam’s itchy hands will fiddle with the controls on the dashboard of the bus. His constant switching of radio channels will irritate the bus driver so much he will ask us to get out of his bus immediately. We will be stranded on the roads in a foreign country.
- Sam accidentally presses the Eject button of our seats and we will be a thousand feet up in the air before we know it. Baik Sam but I am here for a holiday not to get my Airborne Badge.
- Zal is supposed to collect his new biometric passport one day before the trip. But obviously, systems can screw up and Zal can have a memory lapse. Since he is the main planner of the trip, hotels and buses will be booked under his name. So effectively, we cant go without him. In the event that happens, Telok Belangah kapaaa?? So bring your soccer shoes people.
- Nas’s sweat glands decide to be on overdrive. His constantly sweaty feet will not only wet his slippers but anything that is underneath. So grass, floor, carpet all included. During the course of our sleeping time, he literally turns the room into a pool of sweat and drowns the unfortunate people inside. We lose a few of our members.
- Mus is not satisfied with the quality of the coach and decides to let his feelings known. His whining and complaining wont do us any good during the journey. So Sam presses the Eject button again and off he goes. But since Mus is all Commando, he expertly navigates his fall and links up with us back at Agora Hotel. Baik Mus, save duit transport.
- Suff brings us to the wrong club and we seriously meet a bunch of Mat Reps. Nas’s big mouth lands us into trouble and we end up on the Malaysian newspaper the next day. Muka semua all bruise and battered and damn ronyok, except for the rambut. (refer to Rahmat’s joke)
- Wan tells his Mas Selamat jokes and surprisingly, the locals there gave him a 10/10. Wan feels appreciated and decides to share more of his humour with them. Through some contacts, Wan lands himself a role in Scenario and he decides to be a PR there. We only meet up with him for bowling at Johor.
- Nazir brings his generous and charitable acts from China to Malaysia. He finds the nearest kampung and teaches English to the kids there in exchange for Burger Ramly and kelapa.
- Faliq’s travel bag looks bulky and heavier than expected. Upon further inspection of the bag, what we saw inside confirms our suspicion. It was in fact Hatta. Both of them share a room. Itinerary for their day will be as follows : 8am - Wake up. 805am to 955pm - High Fives. 10pm- Sleep.
- Ben can use.

Damn Power Magic Shit
Hello people, it's The One With The Satay here to save you all from the endless onslaught of Zat entries.
Yesterday, I watched France versus Holland and there is only one word to describe what I saw: damn power magic shit. As most of you would know, Holland trounced France 4-1 in a display of damn power magic shit football. Now, I'm a France fan - mainly because I think Thierry Henry plays divine football - but I didn't mind watching them lose to Van Nistelrooy's 360-spin/pass, those sweet, sweet link-up plays between Sneijder, Van Der Vaart, Robben and Van Nistelrooy and Dirk Kuyt's goal - an event that had all the consistency of a blue moon.
Now I just hope Portugal doesn't screw up as bad, and France pick themselves up from this.
Anyway, here's a recap of that magnificent match. Alliteration, sial.

Oranje!
Holland didn't just won France. They decimated their opponents, manhandled them and simply tore the team apart. The manner in which they won the game left all of us in awe.I honestly had goosebumps after the match. And then there's that sublime van Nistelrooy 360 spin cum pass which swept everybody off their feet and in a single moment invigorated my passion for soccer. It was that inspiring.
Come Telok Belangah this Sunday, we will all be our own versions of Sneijder, Van der Vaart, Henry and Ribery. And although we will all consperm fall flat in our attempts to mimick them, who cares. This is football and this is the way we like it.
