There were a couple of things that bothered me this morning, while watching the Man U vs Bayern match.
Firstly, I missed Rooney's goal. By 1 minute. I fell asleep on my couch and when I finally woke up and switched the channel, the score already reads 1-0 to Man U. I know it's not the worst thing in the world to see, but I had planned to watch the match right from the start when they revealed the starting line-up. A bit of an anti-climax but nvm.
Secondly, watching the match on Singtel MIO TV was such an unpleasant experience. The images were constantly jerky throughout the entire match, which was just plain annoying. Every few seconds or so, the screen breaks into small pixelated boxes and makes this weird Transformers noise. And this is not even a one-off thing, even the other normal programmes are affected by the same problem. At the very least, we should be able to expect a smooth and uninterrupted programming, be it 'live' or not. The occasional glitches can be expected but the frequency of those occurrences suggests that there is more to it than just a technical glitch.
Is this the kind of quality we get in return for paying nothing during the promotional period? Because if they're trying to break into the market, this is definitely not one way of doing it.
And now onto the match. Here's a question. Besides having Lucas in the team, what are the other ways a team can self-destroy?
A)Have Gary Neville in the team.
B)Have Gary Neville as captain of the team.
C)Have Captain Gary Neville play volleyball just at the edge of the penalty box when your team is leading 1-0 away from home in a crucial Champions League Quarter Final.
D)All of the above, so for God's sake please retire now and start running your marathons.
The answer is D), wow I totally didn't see that coming. Not only was it a moment of stupidity, it was a costly one as well. The free-kick he conceded led to Bayern's equaliser. That goal gave the home team the impetus to search for the winner, which they eventually did albeit in the dying minutes.
And who started all this self destruction? Captain Marvel Gary Neville himself. Boy am I proud of this captain.
All in all though, Man U thoroughly deserved to lose the match. The midfield was dead and they lost the ball on too many occasions. Bayern ran the midfield and had most of the possession, which was frustrating because the 5 man midfield Man U deployed were supposed to do exactly just that. Bayern's passing game was nowhere as close to Barca's so for them to have that much of the ball showed how badly Man U played.
But still a 2-1 away defeat is not the end of the world. What is worrying though will be the extent of Rooney's injury. Another big match on Saturday awaits and I just cannot wait for the captain to lead the team out of the tunnel woohoooo go GARY! Tak.

Didi Hamann
Ok, I'm not gonna talk bout Didi Hamann, but Didi Benami. When I hear Didi, Hamann's the first name that came to my mind. Anyway, this Didi Benami, now in the top 12, has a damn nice voice ah, and I feel she's got the Taylor Swift vibe. I think got potential. Of course there's also Siobhan (nama style dok) and some other girls I can't remember their names, who also can go far. But check this out, I think it's a cool performance. I like her style ah.

My Goodness Liverpool
I dunno why I bothered waking up in the morning to watch yet another pathetic horrible abysmal i-dunno-how-else-to-describe performance by Liverpool. Once again, they didn't fail to disappoint. Now the table looks smth like this:

Boring Exchange
Our Chilean correspondent Nazir with an exclusive update of the situation in Chile.
HOLA Amigos!
Ah isap la ok. Basically you guys know the full story all. And for once I don't want to exaggerate. My area is safe but ya. Some shattered glass, cracks and stuff, but definitely not as bad as what you've seen on TV.
I'll leave with you this for now.
